Provenance of First Empire Capital

The Akkadian Empire was the world’s first true empire (2334 BC) founded by Sargon the Great During the Bronze age. It was history’s first superpower & empire ruling over a multi-ethnic territory covering modern day Iraq, and parts of Iran Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, Jordan, and Cyprus. It created the world’s first global trading network, postal system, taxation system, road network, irrigation system, and time recording system. It’s capital Akkad and towns are extensively mentioned in Genesis 10, and their system of government became the model for future empires.

As you know, empires do not last. After the Akkadians came the Egyptian Empire, the Hittites, the Assyrians, the Babylonians, the Persians, Alexander and his Hellenic Empire, China’s Han Dynasty, Roman Empire, etc… up to the modern era. Hence, empires are very much like asset/stock price cycles. Financial history tells us that great fortune will be made during the chaos engendered between the decline of one empire and the rise of another… like now. At First Empire Capital, we have built and continue to develop a uniquely successful and agnostic investment philosophy for all seasons, market cycles, and empires.
