Beau Tin
Executive Chairman/Chief Investment Officer
Beau is an investment veteran in global financial markets. He has over 30 yearsβ experience as a leading investment manager and portfolio advisor with leading global investment banks including Potter Warburg (now UBS), ANZ Securities (now Morgan Stanley), Merrill Lynch, and Macquarie Bank. During this time, he provided asset allocation strategies, global portfolio investment management services, price risk hedging programs, and capital raising advice to high new worth investors as well as corporates in both Australia and the Asia Pacific Region.
Beau holds a Bachelor of Business Degree and is a level 2 accredited derivatives advisor. He brings to First Empire Capital extensive international trading and capital risk management experience across a range of financial activities. His focus is always the efficient delivery of superior outcomes to investors.
Colin Ritchie
Chief Operating Officer
Colin brings his business building strengths to First Empire Capital as Chief Operating Officer having previously built an international business with Merrill Lynch New York, as well as being a responsible manager on a number of Australian Financial Services Licences over the past twenty years.
Colin has worked in financial markets since 1988. Colinβs extensive industry experience has seen his family located in London as well as in New York. Selected roles prior to co-founding First Empire Capital are: Portfolio Manager at Agora Asset Management, a long/short hedge fund; Risk Manager at Merricks Capital, a multi-strategy Pan Asian Hedge fund; Executive Director at Morgan Stanley (NY) specialising in financial analysis and modelling; Managing Director and CEO of GPQS (London), a business providing equity analytics to investment institutions and consultants; and Senior Quantitative Analyst at HSBC James Capel delivering an equity-based Portfolio Risk Analyser to managers across the globe.
External to First Empire Capital; Colin is actively involved in Portfolio Management & Risk Management technology through a tier-one institutional platform he owns and supports with overseas clients, and with a start-up Clean-Tech Energy company.
Colin is a Fellow with the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) as well as a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.
